CohnReznick LLP has announced the appointment of Timothy D. Brown, CPA, as a Partner and National Director of Audit.

Mr. Brown brings to the Firm more than 16 years of diverse public accounting experience with an extensive background in providing audit and accounting services to clients in a variety of industries, including life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, professional services, construction, and engineering.

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Mr. Brown was the lead partner of a public company audit practice at a regional accounting firm. He spent the majority of his career at a Big Four firm, including five years in its national office serving in a variety of capacities, including performing audits for public and private companies, designing and launching new electronic auditing tools, reviewing audit methodology, and acting as a liaison for PCAOB-related activities.

In his new role, Mr. Brown is responsible for all Firm matters related to applicable audit standards. In addition, he is responsible for the understanding and adoption of new audit standards (both AICPA and PCAOB) and the clarification of existing standards.
