New Jersey’s Labor Market – By The Numbers

New Jersey’s manufacturing sector saw the largest job growth in March when compared to other sectors. The sector added 2,800 new jobs while the transportation and utilities sector lost 4,600 jobs. More than 242,000 individuals work in the manufacturing sector compared to 262,000 who work in the public sector. The services industries lead all sectors with more than 3.5 million workers.
