Archer’s Jeffrey Gradone, Alex Paul Genato & Kristin Yu to Speak at NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City

Jeffrey M. Gradone, Alex Paul Genato, and Kristin Yu, attorneys at Archer in Princeton, N.J., will be on the faculty for Advanced Topics and Ethical Considerations for Property Tax Appeals, a continuing legal education seminar on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, from 1:45 p.m. to 3:25 p.m., in Atlantic City. The program is presented by the New Jersey State Bar Association and will be taking place at its Annual Meeting and Convention. The seminar will discuss advanced topics and ethical considerations in property taxation and real estate value litigation.
Mr. Gradone concentrates his practice in the areas of local property taxation and eminent domain proceedings. A former clerk for Judge Harold A. Kuskin of the New Jersey Tax Court, Mr. Gradone prosecutes complex property tax appeals in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and other Mid-Atlantic and New England states. He advises clients regarding property tax issues and liabilities, and pursues property tax exemptions, abatements, and other incentives for real estate development projects. Mr. Gradone also handles a variety of complex condemnation matters on behalf of property owners and lenders.
Mr. Genato concentrates his practice in the areas of local property taxation, eminent domain, redevelopment, and state tax matters. He has handled matters involving all phases of property tax appeal litigation throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, Ohio, Florida and various other states. Mr. Genato is regularly quoted as an authority on local property taxation in publications such as Bloomberg News, The Star-Ledger, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Hudson Reporter, NJBIZ, GlobeSt.com, examiner.com, and the Press of Atlantic City. He has also been featured or quoted in PCWorld, iPhone Life, The Modesto Bee, and The Las Vegas Review-Journal. After graduating from law school, Mr. Genato was a law clerk to the Honorable Vito L. Bianco, J.T.C. of the Tax Court of New Jersey. In this capacity, he assisted Judge Bianco in drafting the first published case in the nation to comprehensively address casino valuation. Mr. Genato is a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court for the 2018-2020 term and is a former Chair of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Ms. Yu is an Associate in Archer’s Real Estate Tax Appeal Practice Group, where she specializes in the litigation of complex commercial and industrial property tax appeals. Ms. Yu advises clients on property tax issues, liabilities, and valuation at all stages of prosecution. Ms. Yu graduated from Rutgers Law School, where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and Saul A. Wittes Scholar. She was a member of the National Mock Trial Competition Team and Moot Court Board. She also served as Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, Co-Chair of the Women’s Law Forum, and Teaching Associate for the Legal Analysis, Writing, Research and Skills Program. Following law school, Ms. Yu was a law clerk for the Honorable Vito L. Bianco, J.T.C., of the Tax Court of New Jersey.
