Member News — Matrix New World Engineering Water Experts to Present at 92nd Annual AZ Water Conference & Expo
April 4th, 2019
Two industry experts from Matrix New World Engineering will present at the 92nd Annual AZ Water Conference & Expo on April 16-18, 2019 at the Phoenix Convention Center, South Building, 33 South 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ.
Harry Benton, R.G. will present “Emerging Contaminants: Poly- and Perfluoroalkyl Substances and Your Water Supply” on Tuesday, April 16 at 2:00pm. William ‘Bill’ Greenslade, P.E., R.G. will present with the City of Chandler on “Chandler Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Well Performance Testing” on Wednesday, April 17 at 9:00am.
A Registered Geologist in the State of Arizona with nearly three decades of consulting experience, Mr. Brenton’s expertise includes groundwater supply investigations, aquifer testing and analysis, hydraulic capture zone analysis, subsurface environmental characterization investigations, groundwater and soil remediation system design, mine slope stability/dewatering investigations, mineral resource evaluation, and 3D visualization modeling simulations. He has worked on a wide range of complex geological, hydrogeologic, and environmental remediation projects throughout Arizona, Alaska, California, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Texas, Central America, and Mexico.
Mr. Greenslade is a Professional Engineer and Registered Geologist with 50+ years of experience in the performance and management of earth science and environmental projects throughout Arizona and the southwest. Mr. Greenslade completed six years of service as Geologist on the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration. He is well-versed in Arizona Department of Environmental Quality regulations and various federal agencies, including the U.S. EPA. His technical professional accomplishments include geologic and hydrologic characterization of ground and surface water flow systems, design of water supply and recharge and recovery wells, analysis of contaminant migration, and the development of remedial plans for contaminated soil and groundwater. Mr. Greenslade has directed and participated in more than 50 comprehensive geological and hydrological investigations at 18 nuclear power plant sites, including the evaluation of the rate, direction, and quantity of groundwater movement, and the potential for transport of contaminants through aquifer systems.
“Our Arizona team of hydrologists and hydrogeologists are experts in addressing the water needs of Arizona and beyond,” said Jayne Warne, President of Matrix New World Engineering. “We are thrilled that Harry and Bill will be sharing their knowledge with the AZ Water Conference attendees.”
The AZ Water Association is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1928 with a membership of 2,200 water/wastewater professionals dedicated to preserving and enhancing Arizona’s water environment. Although AZ Water is an independent organization, it also serves as the Arizona section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Arizona member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
