Member News — Columbia Bank’s Mayra L. Rinaldi Named “Emerging Leader, Rising Star”

Columbia Bank is pleased to announce Mayra L. Rinaldi has been selected as an Emerging Leader, Rising Star by NJ Bankers. Mrs. Rinaldi was designated due to her exceptional leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills. She joined Columbia Bank in 2000 as a Teller in the bank’s Linden branch office and rose to the role of Assistant Branch Manager. In 2011, she was promoted to the newly-created position of BSA/AML Supervisor. She was appointed an Officer in 2013 and a year later promoted to Corporate Secretary. Mrs. Rinaldi currently serves as the bank’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Governance.

“Mayra has progressed through vital roles and has gained tremendous respect throughout her career at the bank,” said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank. “She is responsible for all Board matters, corporate governance, and day to day executive administration. She also volunteers her time as a mentor to other young women at the bank.”

Mrs. Rinaldi graduated from Kean University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with academic honors and is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking. She serves as a member of the Society of Corporate Governance and is active in various community events, specifically the March of Dimes walk that supports premature child birth. She currently resides in Mahwah with her husband and two daughters.
