Member News — Riker Danzig’s Matthew A. Karmel Elected Junior Board Member of Table to Table

Morristown-based law firm Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP is pleased to announce that associate Matthew A. Karmel has been elected a Junior Board Member of Table to Table. Based in New Jersey, Table to Table is a community-based organization that collects perishable food from supermarkets, distributors and restaurants and delivers it to over 160 community organizations, including soup kitchens, homeless shelters, after-school programs and homes for the elderly. Table to Table currently operates in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties.
Matthew Karmel, an Associate in Riker Danzig’s Environmental Law Practice, is very active in the area of sustainability. In addition to his work with Table to Table, he is a founder and Board Member of the New Jersey Composting Council, an industry group focusing on organics recycling, and is a member of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce’s Sustainability Committee. Karmel’s legal practice focuses on all areas of environmental law, including site remediation, redevelopment and transfer of brownfields, regulatory compliance and permitting, environmental insurance, and environmental litigation.
