Member News — Columbia Bank Foundation Awards Largest Grant To Date
October 30th, 2018

The Columbia Bank Foundation has recently provided $87,360 in funding to Haddonfield Plays & Players theatre in Haddonfield, New Jersey. The grant will upgrade the theatre’s lighting and sounds systems, and create a more efficient box office.

Haddonfield Plays and Players provides affordable theatre to the local Delaware Valley audiences. Aside from main stage productions, the theatre also runs a Stage Kidz, Stage Teenies, and Shining Stars program which offers teens and young adults with developmental disabilities a chance to perform.

“As our largest donation to date, we are excited to aid the Haddonfield Plays & Players and give performers of all ages a chance on stage,” said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank. “As a proud supporter of the arts, we believe in the creative energy it brings to the community.”

The Columbia Bank Foundation actively seeks to provide support in seven major areas: affordable housing programs, community investment and economic development opportunities, financial literacy and educational opportunities, health and human services, community sponsored events, food pantries, and the arts. Special consideration is always given to programs that provide a measurable community impact.
