CIANJ Expands Its Reach & Explores Opportunities for Members to Grow Their Businesses
October 12th, 2018
This week, CIANJ President Anthony Russo was invited to address two different industry associations and share legislative updates and his thoughts on the current climate for doing business in the Garden State. First up was the New Jersey Warehousemen & Movers Association followed by the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association. In addition to addressing these groups, Russo was able to speak with members and understand their concerns which will help shape CIANJ’s government affairs work.
Russo has also been expanding CIANJ’s reach beyond New Jersey on an international front, working with Choose NJ and the State of New Jersey to explore business opportunities abroad and in New Jersey. CIANJ has been present at several international based events, including a recent event featuring Zhejiang province with the hopes at improving NJ – China business relationships. Next week, Russo will travel to Budapest with a delegation from New Jersey to explore opportunities for members in several Hungarian industries including telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing, technology and more. Entitled, Building Bridges and Connecting Borders, this first of its kind conference, organized by CIANJ member, New Jersey City University, aims to connect Hungarian based businesses with New Jersey based businesses. Russo will be joined by several CIANJ members for the conference.
This type of outreach and expansion of CIANJ’s role is value added to your membership. Moving toward 2019, this type of exploration will only continue as the association not only supports its membership but actively seeks ways to take their businesses to the next level.
