Member News — The DAK Group’s Sheon Karol Announced as Winner at Global M & A Network’s 10th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards

Global M&A Network honored the winners of the prestigious 10th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards on July 19. The independently governed awards honors excellence in unique categories of best value-creating transactions, outstanding firms, top professionals and legendary leaders from the restructuring and distressed investing industries.
Sheon Karol, Managing Director at The DAK Group was awarded the Boutique Investment Banker of the Year. This award honors brilliant and successful professionals from the restructuring and turn around industries for their demonstrable record of executing transactions on behalf of clients. The award recipient must win a transactional award to be considered for this category.

The DAK Group was also honored with The Turnaround of the Year award for the restructuring of Violin Memory and acquisition by Soros Fund Management. Sheon Karol led The DAK Group team that provided investment banking and financial advisory services to the Unsecured Creditors Committee for Violin Memory.

Over the course of his career, Sheon has negotiated transactions in a wide range of diverse industries, including: manufacturing, bio-tech, pharma, for-profit education, medical research, agriculture, consumer goods, food & grocery, sports and technology. He is a graduate of Yale Law School and Yeshiva University.
