Member News — A. Faith English Joins Lowenstein Sandler as Manager of Diversity & Inclusion
July 18th, 2018

A. Faith English, former Associate Director of Enforcement for the NCAA, has joined Lowenstein Sandler as Manager of Diversity & Inclusion.

English spent the past six years at the NCAA, where she was instrumental in advancing their diversity and inclusion efforts. She led and strategized curriculum design and implementation for the efforts of the People of Color Employee Resource Group. English also delivered and facilitated programming that raised awareness and encouraged authentic cross-cultural interaction, and she served on the NCAA’s Sexual Assault Commission.

“Faith is joining us at a time when we are seeing dramatic growth in formal and informal programs aimed at increasing the diversity of our workforce and building on our culture of inclusion,” said Gary M. Wingens, Lowenstein Sandler’s Chairman and Managing Partner. “Her background fits very well with the direction of our efforts—and we’re excited to bring her on board.”

English’s arrival at Lowenstein Sandler provides added momentum to the firm’s significant advances in ensuring a diverse, inclusive workforce. Innovations include: Creation of five active, productive Employee Resource Groups (Diversity Leadership Network, LGBTQ Alliance, Women’s Initiative Network, LS Parents of Young Children, Business Services Group Women’s Initiative); implementation of expansive, evenhanded benefits that improve employees lives; and participation in pipeline programs such as the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the Lowenstein Sandler LS Scholars Program, and the Diversity in Law Hackathon series, all of which facilitate the recruitment, development, and promotion of a workforce reflecting a wide range of perspectives.

Lowenstein’s achievements have been recognized by a perfect (100 percent) score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation Corporate Equality Index: Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality; inclusion among the 50 best law firms for women by Working Mother; the Freddie Mac inaugural Award of Excellence for Enhancing Law Firm Diversity & Inclusion; and being named an NJBIZ Best Place to Work in New Jersey for seven consecutive years.

“In addition to her impressive work at the NCAA, Faith practiced law for nearly a decade,” said Donatella Verrico, the firm’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “Faith’s experience, both with diversity and in the legal environment, will be key to our efforts to make our lawyers and professionals feel accepted and appreciated.”

“I am thrilled to join Lowenstein as Manager of Diversity & Inclusion,” said English. “I look forward to supporting the talent and development of our lawyers and other professionals as we take our position as leaders in the legal diversity and inclusion space.”
