Member News — Thomas Lan Joins Friedman LLP as Audit Partner

Friedman LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas Lan has joined the firm’s New York office as an Audit Partner. Thomas Lan is a partner at Friedman LLP with over 15 years of public and private accounting experience. He provides audit and advisory services to domestic and international entities, including private companies and publicly traded companies. He serves clients from diversified industries, primarily focusing on aerospace, biotech, energy, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, public relations and marketing, maritime, manufacturing and distribution and retail.

Prior to joining Friedman, Thomas served as Audit Director at BDO USA LLP. He has extensive experience in complex accounting transactions as revenue recognition, lease accounting, inventory and complex financial instruments.

His expertise includes:
• Integrated audits, reviews and other attestation services
• SEC reporting assistance
• Sarbanes-Oxley readiness consulting and assistance
• Cost accounting and business process improvement
• Consulting with companies in the United States, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan regarding initial public offerings in the United States
Thomas earned his M.S. in Accounting from the George Washington University.

His affiliations include, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Management Accountants and Chartered Global Management Accountants.
