Member News — LPS Industries Achieves Most Current ISO Quality Management Certification
May 14th, 2018
LPS Industries, Moonachie NJ, (www.lpsind.com), a vertically integrated flexible packaging manufacturer, is pleased to announce they have been awarded the most current ISO quality management certification, ISO 9001:2015.
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) quality standards and certifications are the most widely recognized of their kind. They are based on incorporating a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the active involvement of top management and managing a process-oriented approach that supports continual improvement.
ISO 9001:2015 is the latest version of these internationally recognized quality management principles. It is designed to combine the best of process management while assisting companies to develop a management system that aligns quality with their wider business strategy while overlaying a risk-based awareness approach to planning and execution. The focus on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organizational processes helps improve communications, efficiency and implementation of continuous improvement. The end result is a quality program that combines prevention and an emphasis on continuous improvement.
LPS has maintained an ISO quality certification for the past fifteen years while being periodically audited and re-certified. The company was awarded their first ISO quality certification, ISO 9001:2000 in 2003 and a subsequent updated version, ISO 9001:2008, in November, 2010.
“We made the strategic decision 15 years ago to ensure we had the ability to provide products to our customers that consistently meet their statutory, regulatory and business requirements,” said Madeleine Robinson, LPS’ CEO. “Incorporating ISO into an organization’s DNA helps ensure that customers receive consistent, high quality products by implementing and operating under a formal program that ensures products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved. We are excited and proud to earn the latest ISO certification and believe it is the most effective way to demonstrate to our customers that we are serious about and committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.”
