ConnectOne Bank Affinity Program Boosts Non-Profit..

A young student-entrepreneur from West Windsor, N.J., has become of the most successful participants in the ConnectOne Bank Affinity Program for non-profits. Thomas Colitsas, founder of Education for Success, is on track to receive $6,000 from the affinity program to fund his non-profit that provides tutoring services to grade school students at no cost.

At 17 years old, Colitsas founded Education for Success, which is comprised of high school students who volunteer to work with schools in underprivileged communities to offer free tutoring for students who need academic reinforcement. The organization not only strives to educate but also create meaningful relationships between elementary school students and high school volunteers.

Colitsas learned of ConnectOne’s Affinity program when searching for a bank that understood non-profit organizations. The Affinity Program encourages non-profits to refer business to the bank. ConnectOne donates a percentage of the referred balances back to the non-profit.

“While our banking solutions are designed to support non-profits, it is Thomas’ vigor and tenacity that has allowed Education for Success to achieve this milestone,” said Carleen Lombardi, vice president of Corporate Giving and Community Relations at ConnectOne Bank. “We are proud to partner with an organization that is making a substantial impact in the New Jersey community, all led by our next generation.”

Lombardi said ConnectOne is pleased to be helping make a difference by providing non-profits with a new way to generate revenue to accomplish their missions. More information on ConnectOne’s Affinity program can be found here.
