Next week, CIANJ kicks off its first Transportation Summit featuring keynote addresses and panel discussions with the main stakeholders in New Jersey. Transportation has been a hot topic this summer with concerns over infrastructure, the Gateway Project, major issues with NJ Transit and more.
New Jersey’s Department of Transportation Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti will kick off our event with a keynote address. A panel discussion on how transportation impacts business will be moderated by CIANJ President Anthony Russo featuring representatives from United Airlines, Global Container Terminals and UPS.
A second keynote will be delivered by Bethann Rooney, assistant director in the Port Department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Funding and priorities in the state’s transportation system will be discussed by the chairs of the state’s transportation committees, Senator Patrick Diegnan and Assemblyman Dan Benson.
The event wraps up with a discussion on how to get started with state contracting and procurement. This panel features representatives from AECOM, J. Fletcher Creamer and Son, Inc., The Earle Companies and Carbro Constructors Co. This is the first event from CIANJ’s new Transportation Forum.
