Team Columbia volunteers participated in Clifton’s Ninth Annual Tank Pull Competition to raise funds for local veteran causes, especially wounded warriors. The bank volunteers were able to physically move an 80,000-pound army tank resting on a flatbed truck over the required distance twice – once by an individual team member and once with their full team of 20 volunteers – and in doing so provided $2,000 in financial support to local veteran’s causes.
Thomas J. Kemly, Columbia’s President and Chief Executive Officer, noted that “we are extremely proud to be part of this annual support effort to help raise funds for our local veterans. We hope, in some small way, that we can make a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for the cause of freedom.”
