Atit Shah, CPA, an audit manager at CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, was named to the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (NJCPA) Emerging Leaders Council for 2018-2019. His three-year term began on June 1st and is effective until May 31, 2021.
As a member of the Emerging Leaders Council, Atit will assist in carrying on the mission of the NJCPA and lead efforts to develop the future of the Society. The Council sponsors several events a year for young CPAs to build their personal networks and to become involved in their communities by giving back.
Based in the Firm’s Roseland, NJ office, Atit began his career at CohnReznick in 2011 and is a member of the Firm’s Hospitality Industry Practice and Employee Benefit Plan Practice. He is a licensed CPA in New Jersey and holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University. He is actively involved with the NJCPA as a participant in its mentorship program and as a member of the nominee selection and interview committee for the NJCPA Scholarship Program. He was named a winner of its Diversity and Inclusion Impact Award in 2017.
Founded in 1898, the NJCPA is the largest professional organization serving the needs of the state’s current and aspiring CPAs. With a membership of more than 14,000, the NJCPA represents the majority of New Jersey CPAs in public practice, business and industry, government, and education. The organization supports its members through a variety of education, networking, leadership, and volunteer initiatives.
