Throughout February and March of this year, the AZ Water Utility Business and local companies offered basic information and training to operators who manage groundwater pumping wells. These forums were held in Tucson, Goodyear and Scottsdale and can be seen again at the Annual Conference, ‘AZ Water Association 91st Annual Conference & Exhibition,’ May 2 – 4, 2018 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
According to Nathan E. Miller, Arizona Operations Manager, “The presentation given at these various locations, ‘Groundwater Wells: Practical Knowledge,’ highlights the important characteristics of groundwater well pumping and the aquifer. Groundwater production wells supply drinking water to communities throughout Arizona. The details of well pumping can often seem mysterious, but this presentation provides the operators fundamentals to operate and maintain water production wells.”
Jayne Warne, PE, President, states, “Matrix is pleased to utilize technology and science to give back to the water community in Arizona. As a desert state, all efforts to provide updated training is essential to ensure against drought and other adverse conditions.”
