Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) has announced the formation and launch of its Professional Liability Group. The group will defend regional, U.S. and international professional service providers – including law and accounting firms – against claims of malpractice in both state and federal courts.
Led by General Counsel Ronald Israel and Ethics-Conflicts Committee member Marie Mathews, CSG’s Professional Liability Group is staffed with attorneys bringing significant experience defending malpractice cases. The Group will operate as a part of the firm’s Litigation Practice, which is recognized as a leading commercial litigation practice nationally and in New Jersey, earning top honors in the 2018 Best Law Firm Rankings published by U.S. News and Best Lawyers.
In addition to defending civil matters, the Professional Liability Group will provide its clients with presentations on legislative malpractice updates and loss prevention techniques, as well as ethics counsel services to law firms or companies seeking advice relating to the Rules of Professional Conduct.
“As advisors on matters ranging from client intake procedures to preventative ethics counsel, our team delivers a holistic approach with a scope that expands well beyond post-claim representation,” commented Israel. “Our proactive advice – paired with the depth of CSG’s many specialized practice areas – is a valuable asset when defending against, and averting, claims alleging violations of professional or ethical standards.”
CSG’s Professional Liability Group marks the latest addition to the firm’s range of services, following the launch of its Food & Beverage Group in 2017 and Equipment Leasing and Hedge Fund Groups in 2016.
