PENPAC Endorses Pro-Business Candidates for General Assembly, 10/06/2009
Endorsements given to candidates who support the principles of free enterprise and policies that will foster economic growth.
Paramus, New Jersey The Private Enterprise Political Action Committee (PENPAC), affiliated with the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ), today announced the 37 candidates it is endorsing for election to the New Jersey General Assembly. The endorsements were announced after conducting candidate surveys, voting record analysis and personal interviews. Each candidate for General Assembly was sent a PENPAC survey, and only those who returned their answers were considered for endorsement.
PENPAC is committed to supporting candidates who support free market principles and pro-business policies. Criteria for endorsement included a commitment to reducing taxes and government interference in the private sector, and creating an environment for economic growth.
The past few years have been very difficult for New Jersey companies, said PENPAC Chairman Richard Goldberg. Paid family leave, tax increases and an escalating cost of government have combined with the economic downturn to drive some companies to cut jobs, while others have been forced to close their doors. The candidates endorsed by PENPAC have shown a commitment to support policies that drive economic growth, such as reducing the tax burden, cutting the size of government, and providing education choices for children in failing schools. These candidates understand that a vibrant private sector is the best path back to prosperity for New Jersey. I urge all New Jersey employers to encourage their employees to vote for the PENPAC endorsed candidates.
PENPAC has endorsed the following candidates for a better New Jersey:
