Environmental Business Council of CIANJ
The Environmental Business Council (EBC) provides a forum for senior level environmental professionals to explore creative approaches, best practices and current statutory, regulatory and case law developments relating to environmental issues in New Jersey and Nationally. Through bi-monthly roundtable, seminars, and trade shows, the EBC provides a vehicle for companies to network.
Human Resource Council
The Mission of the CIANJ Human Resource Council is to advocate HR awareness by providing information and resources in various HR disciplines.
The Human Resource Council (HRC) is committed to educating, advising, representing and supporting its most valuable resource – its people. It serves to bring Human Resource professionals or those responsible for HR in their respective organizations, regardless of size or structure, together to share information and solve common challenges.
Communications Committee
The mission of the CIANJ Communication Committee is to assist the association in communicating with CIANJ members and the outside business and legislative community through COMMERCE magazine, www.cianj.org, and other media outlets. The committee also covers the design, function, and delivery of CIANJ products and services.
Legislative Committee
The mission of the CIANJ Legislative Committee is to monitor legislation on the federal, state and county levels. It will make recommendations to support or oppose legislation that can impact New Jersey business and drive positive change. It will develop government related programs to provide CIANJ members with access to elected officials.
Hispanic Business Council
The Mission of the HBC is to significantly increase the visibility, influence, and stature of the Hispanic Business community for the purpose of creating a dynamic business environment that will foster increased economic and educational opportunities for Hispanic entrepreneurs, professionals, and Hispanic-owned businesses.

The Private Enterprise Political Action Committee (PENPAC) was founded in 1979, as a general business political action committee, to give financial support to business minded candidates for the New Jersey State Assembly and Senate. Direct financial contributions are given to candidates of both political parties who support free market principles. Members of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey formed PENPAC to compliment the Association's legislative lobbying efforts and provide a vehicle to become politically active. Although affiliated, PENPAC operates independently from CIANJ, with an independent Board of Trustees and Treasurer, who maintains the financial records and reports to the State of New Jersey on a quarterly basis.
PENPAC funds are derived from voluntary contributions, independent from Association dues, and are not deductible as a business expense for income tax purposes.
CEO Roundtable
The CEO Roundtable provides a forum for Chief Participants freely discuss issues they confront daily: Executive Officers or business owners to seek compensation, dealings with family members, advice and share experiences, just as you financing, marketing, business relocations, difficult would with a corporate Board of Directors. employees, sale of a business, and many other topics.
