The Newark office of LeClairRyan has brought aboard the remaining name partners and others from New Jersey bankruptcy firm Forman Holt Eliades & Youngman.

The additions, who joined as of May 1, grow the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice at LeClairRyan to about 50 attorneys firmwide, and push the Newark office’s head count to 57.

In terms of sheer numbers, they also more than make up for the four-lawyer group the firm lost to Duane Morris’ Newark shop just weeks ago.

For Paramus-based Forman Holt, the departures come just a month after three of its attorneys left to join Fox Rothschild’s Roseland office.

The LeClairRyan laterals all were partners at Forman Holt: managing partner Charles Forman, Michael Holt, Daniel Eliades, Erin Kennedy, Kim Lynch, William Waldman, David Catuogno and Michael Connolly. All retained the rank of partner at LeClairRyan.

Also making the move were seven staffers: three legal assistants, two paralegals, a practice group specialist and a trustee case administrator.

“Our team has practiced together for many years,” Forman said in a statement. “It was important for us to join a firm with a strong national bankruptcy practice that also allowed us to offer additional services to our clients. We already have found a number of opportunities with our clients and our new colleagues at LeClairRyan.”
